Yeah, I just received my 228's from DakMart(although I'm still not absolutely positive they are real but I think so) and they do have a very glossy finish.

I emailed dakmart from their website as a new customer, and just asked "I do not see you listed as an authorized dealer on the Sennheiser website, so how can I be sure that the product is authentic before I buy?"

That was yesterday around 12 eastern and have not received a response yet.   Undecided
